Kamille Ennis
Kamille Ennis, a proud alumna of Lacovia High School, has turned her love for sports into a successful career as the head of the Physical Education Department at her alma mater. In addition to her role as a physical education teacher, she serves as the head coach for both track and field and netball. Ennis has become a driving force in the school's athletics program, leading Lacovia High to impressive achievements on both national and international stages, securing numerous medals in competitive events.
Beginning her coaching journey in 2008, Ennis aimed to cultivate a strong track culture at Lacovia. Despite the challenges posed by more established schools in the area, she remains unwavering in her belief that excellence can emerge from any institution. "My dream was to have Lacovia High perform as well as any other big school," Ennis shared. "I wanted to show that your school doesn't determine your potential. I am incredibly proud of my roots at Lacovia High School."
Under her leadership, the track team has flourished, producing standout athletes who excel in competitions. After 14 years of coaching, Ennis continues to be committed to enhancing Lacovia's athletics program. The support from the school community has been vital in keeping students motivated and united, even amidst fierce competition. She emphasizes the importance of instilling a spirit of perseverance and excellence in her athletes, believing that success extends far beyond just medals.
Kamille Ennis exemplifies the transformative power of dedication and passion. Her journey from student to coach reflects her belief in the potential of every athlete at Lacovia High School. As she continues to inspire her team, Ennis shows that with hard work and pride in one’s roots, success knows no bounds.
